Traffic solution for the residents of the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood implemented

In recent years, IMPACT Developer & Contractor has made consistent efforts to streamline traffic in the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood, taking all necessary steps to build access roads to the complex and optimize existing traffic solutions.

One of these steps was implemented the other day (June 17-18) by CNAIR and the Bucharest Roads Administration. It is about reconfiguring the intersection of Teișani Alley, DN1 ramp, and Bucharest Ring Road, with the aim of facilitating traffic in the area, especially for residents of GREENFIELD Băneasa.

Easy access to and from GREENFIELD Băneasa

The new configuration does Easier entry and exit from the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood. To exit the neighborhood, drivers coming from GREENFIELD via Aleea Teișani will enter the intersection to turn left onto the ramp leading to Șoseaua București-Ploiești, in the direction towards Bucharest, while access to the Ring Road will be as usual.

The new configuration also streamlines traffic on Bucharest-Ploiești Road, easing access to the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood via Teișani Alley and towards the Ring Road.

Community and Developer-Led Traffic Solution

This traffic solution came about a year ago, at the proposal of Greenfield community representatives, and supported by IMPACT Developer & Contractor. At that time, the developer submitted a letter to CNAIR, transmitting for analysis a plan for a new traffic regulation in the area of the intersection of DN1 ramps with Aleea Teișani and with the Ring Road near the Otopeni Bridge.

The results of the intersection reconfiguration were visible from day one; the solution eliminated the queue on the exit lane from the neighborhood via Teișani Alley and the queue on DN1 towards Greenfield neighborhood and Șoseaua de Centură.

IMPACT, the developer of the district, has other access roads to the complex undergoing approval.

The most advanced project involves the construction of an access road connecting the northern part of Teișani Avenue to the Bucharest Ring Road via an off-ramp located under the Cable-Stayed Bridge on the Bucharest Ring Road.

For the realization of this access road, IMPACT purchased a plot of land with an area of 4,150 sqm and submitted all the necessary documentation, including all requested permits, to the Bucharest City Hall in January 2022, and obtained the permit from the Chief Architect. The next step is to receive the final approval from the General Council of Bucharest Municipality.
