A new access road to the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood, under authorization

The infrastructure of the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood is being expanded with a new access road. This road will connect Aleea Teișani to the DNBC ramp near the Cable-Stayed Bridge and will help to ease traffic flow, benefiting both residents of the GREENFIELD neighborhood and the entire Băneasa area, as well as traffic on DN1 and the Bucharest Ring Road.

The new road is in the final stage of the authorization process: submitting the documentation for obtaining the construction permit, with the preceding steps being obtaining the urban planning certificate and all necessary approvals. The next steps are the issuance of the construction permit by the authorities and the commencement of works by the developer.

The route starts from Teișani Alley, heads north, crosses the railway, and under the Cable-Stayed Bridge, connects to Horia Cloșca and Crișan Street. From there, drivers can go west towards DN1, with directions to Bucharest or Ploiești. For the direction towards Greenfield, there are two access points: either from the Beltway, entering via the DNCB ramp from the Lukoil roundabout, or from DN1, near the Brussels metro station on Metro Line 6.

In short, the road is not just a new entrance or exit from Greenfield, but a connector between the neighborhood and the major infrastructure of the north of the Capital. Instead of traffic concentrating almost exclusively on the existing access from Teișani Alley, the new link will distribute part of the flow towards Horia Cloșca and Crișan Street and, further on, towards DN1, thus streamlining the connection between DN1 and the Ring Road.

The road built by IMPACT Developer & Contractor, the developer of the Greenfield Băneasa neighborhood, will be 216 meters long, with a 7-meter roadway and sidewalks on both sides. The construction involves complex works, including the automation of the railway crossing and the arrangement of dedicated lanes for turns and staging areas at the intersection with Horia, Cloșca, and Crișan streets. The land on which it will be built is owned by the developer IMPACT Developer & Contractor, and the costs of design, approval, and execution are fully covered by them. The total value of the investment is 2.5 million euros.

The works are scheduled to begin immediately after obtaining the building permit and will last 6 months.

New road, direct access to the subway

The new access road will connect the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood with the future metro line, Magistrala M6, providing direct access to the Brussels station. The estimated distance from the neighborhood to the Brussels metro station will be approximately 3.5 km and can be covered by car in about 7 minutes.

Neighborhood connectivity and public transportation access

Currently, the main access to GREENFIELD is via Teișani Alley, a connection that leads to key arteries such as the Ring Road and DN1. The mobility of GREENFIELD Băneasa residents is supported by public transport, an STB terminal that ensures a direct connection to the Capital's transport network, via line 203, with a link to the Piața Victoriei metro station, one of the most important urban mobility hubs in Bucharest.

GREENFIELD Băneasa, the ”15-minute city” in Sector 1 of the Capital

Since 2007, the start year of the first development phase, GREENFIELD Băneasa has experienced continuous development, bringing new infrastructure and multiple facilities to the community: two private parks, numerous green spaces, playgrounds, convenience stores, a private campus with a kindergarten, school, and high school, the GREENFIELD Plaza shopping center, and the Wellness Club by GREENFIELD with a semi-Olympic pool, children's pool, outdoor pool, a gym with over 100 Tehnogym machines, group classes, steam room, dry sauna, infrared sauna, emotional showers, massage services, children's classes and activities, public transport, and an STB terminal. As the project progresses and approaches maturity, other new facilities are being added, such as a public school and kindergarten under construction, a church, a nursery, and new traffic flow infrastructure and solutions.
