The project has three distinct areas with different degrees of complexity.

Impact Site

Road structure, curbs, sidewalks and asphalt executed, according to the briefing of 07.09.2026. Technical tests are in progress.

Design In progress Front desk

September 18, 2026: Over 50% completed · The road structure up to the asphalt concrete wearing course, curbs, and sidewalks have been completed. Each phase was accompanied by the inspections and tests specified in the project.

  1. Teișani Alley the current exit from the neighborhood
  2. New road on Impact land 216 m, 7 m carriageway, sidewalks on both sides
  3. Crossing the two railway tracks line 301Bb Mogoșoaia – R. Pasărea, automated level crossing, dedicated lanes.
  4. DNCB bypass, near the Cable-Stayed Bridge connection to the infrastructure managed by CNAIR
  5. Horia, Cloșca and Crișan Street · DN1 / Bypass additional route to the north of the Capital
The new connection also brings the neighborhood closer to the area where the future Metro Line 6 is being built: about 3.5 km to the Bruxelles station, roughly 7 minutes by car.
Chronology

How did we get here and what's next

  1. May 2026 Done

    Authorization

    Urbanism certificate and approvals obtained, documentation for the building permit submitted. The project is entering the final authorization stage.

  2. July 2026 Done

    Building permit, start of works

    The building permit issued by the District 1 City Hall. Work is beginning, with an estimated duration of 6 months. Site preparation is starting.

  3. August 2026 Done

    Road structure on the Impact land

    The stormwater collection and infiltration system, field tests, and the first layers of the road structure. Status as of August 19, 2026: 15% general construction, 35% on the Impact site, approximately 90 m of the 216 m with the road structure completed.

  4. September 2026 Here we are

    Asphalt poured on the Impact field

    The layers of the road structure were executed successively up to the asphalt concrete wearing course, the sidewalks were built, and the curbs were installed.

  5. October–November 2026 Next

    CNAIR connection and crossing of the two railway lines

    Connection to the DNCB link road, water drainage, and signaling, in parallel with earthworks, railway signaling, and barriers with electronic sensors. The most complex works of the project are coming up next.

  6. December 31, 2026 Next

    Deadline

    The new road will be completed on December 31, 2026. The works are progressing according to schedule.

It is paved, why is traffic not allowed yet?
For the opening, the connection to the CNAIR infrastructure and the crossing of the two railway lines are still required.
When does it open?
The completion deadline remains December 31, 2026. Estimated duration at the start of works, 06.07.2026: 6 months.
Why is the overall progress 20%, if on the IMPACT site it has exceeded 50%?
The overall progress includes all project components, including the CNAIR connection and the crossing of the two railway lines.
What's next?

Is the road public or private? Who maintains it?
The legal status of the road and the maintenance responsibility after commissioning are being confirmed. We will publish the answer here, along with the confirmation date.
Does the handover of my apartment depend on the road?
No. Deliveries follow the schedule of each phase. For the situation of your apartment, you will receive the details from your consultant.
How much does it cost and who pays?
The investment is estimated at 3.5 million euros and is entirely carried out by IMPACT.
Why is it taking so long for 216 meters?
The 216 meters are just the visible section, on Impact's land. The complete connection crosses the domain of three infrastructure administrators: Impact, CNAIR, and CFR. Each area involves specific works, safety systems, testing, and its own handovers. Progress is measured across all components necessary for commissioning, not by the length of the road.
