Mission accomplished: 1000 more oak trees planted in Băneasa Forest

Our vision is to build, besides living spaces, and a lifestyle encourages outdoor activity and communion with nature. Dand that's why we are happy that in Greenfield Residence A community of nature-loving people who are also responsible for its protection has been formed. 

If any further proof was needed, it came on Saturday, March 30th, when, young and old alike, the residents of our neighborhood and ccompetitors or close to runners at Bucharest Half Marathon They mobilized again for a large reforestation operation in an area of the Băneasa forest. It was a natural gesture from people grateful to nature for all that it offers us: clean air, health, peace, a space to escape from the daily hustle and bustle.

As usual, we took care of the seedlings, work tools, and warm drinks. Our trusty partners from Romsilva Bucharest stood by us this time too, with volunteers being assisted by forestry specialists who instructed, guided, and supported them throughout the planting period.

For the first, but we are convinced not for the last time, some of the work tools were donated to the participants by Fiskars Romania, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for their support, participation, and involvement.

The planting from last weekend is part of the campaign Greenfield Residence for movement and nature, so each of the 1,000 oaks is dedicated to a participant Greenfield relay, a race that took place as part of Bucharest Half Marathon. One more Our oak saplings have become part of the forest a few days ago and will be with us from now on to accompany us on weekend walks, to cool us with their shade on hot summer days, to be home for hundreds of other birds or small forest animals, or to offer food to our voiceless neighbors.

Our action was part of the extensive afforestation campaign carried out by us in the north of the capital, which involved the planting of over 3.500 of trees and shrubs in the last 5 years. The initiative will continue with the planting of another 4,500 trees by 2028, according to promise made, aceeFor each apartment built, plant an apple tree.

Trees are the lungs of the planet, being the main instrument for combating global warming and maintaining a clean and healthy environment. We have previously a It's not a lot, indeed, but step by step and only together can we, in turn, give something back to nature which generously makes our days more beautiful and delights our senses when we visit it.
