Back to blogResidents of Sector 1 Bucharest will benefit from new educational institutions near Baneasa Forest, an area with clean air, which is extremely necessary for children. A state school and kindergarten will be built in Greenfield, the neighborhood embraced by the forest, after the General Council of Bucharest Municipality accepted the proposal to donate a 9620 sqm plot of land, submitted by Impact Developer & Contractor. The value of the donation, which also includes the project for the construction of the school and kindergarten, amounts to 1.75 million euros, according to the appraisal report.
In the meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, the General Council of Bucharest Municipality adopted a project that targets a positive response to the donation offer of a plot of land located in Bucharest, Teișani Alley, Sector 1, for the construction of a public school and kindergarten in the Greenfield neighborhood. According to the information contained in the document, construction works, which are the responsibility of the Council, have a deadline for commencement of December 31, 2020.
„The donation offer with encumbrances, authenticated under no. 456/2020 by SC Impact Developer & Constructor SA, is accepted. The donation concerns the land located at Teișani Alley no. 300-324, no. 394-410, Mogoșoaia Forest Road no. 15-31, no. 33-41, plots A 468/37, 38, 39, 40/1, 40/2, 40/3, 40/4, 40/5, and 40/6, Sector 1 (currently Teișani Alley no. 312-324, Sector 1), with an area of 9,620 sqm. The project addresses the need for schools and kindergartens in Sector 1, an area of continuous development in the residential segment, with a steady increase in the number of preschoolers and pupils. The two educational centers are an integral part of the largest community center built within a residential complex in Bucharest, developed on 32,071 sqm, which will include: a strip mall, Kindergarten and public school, Terminal STB, minibus station.
The school and kindergarten will have direct access to a public road and will be modern educational spaces where approximately 1,000 children from the North of Bucharest will be able to learn, as follows:
• the kindergarten will be able to accommodate 150 children in 15 classrooms, a multipurpose room, a medical office + isolation room, a food preparation area, administrative spaces, technical spaces, and a covered playground;
• The school will be able to accommodate two shifts of 390 children each in 13 classrooms, 5 laboratories (chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, foreign languages), two workshops (music and arts), 1 after-school room, 1 library, a gym + locker rooms, a multipurpose foyer, a speech therapy room, a psychological counseling room, a medical room + isolation room, a buffet area + food preparation area, a school shop, a covered atrium, an outdoor sports field, a partially covered recreation yard, a maintenance workshop, bicycle parking areas, various technical and administrative spaces.
„Over time, we have promoted a healthy lifestyle and undertaken multiple initiatives for public education, for the Greenfield community, and for children's training. Plogging and planting events, birdwatching sessions, and building birdhouses in Băneasa Forest demonstrate Impact's involvement in non-formal education and social responsibility. And because the time has come to do more for education, with the support and approval of the City Hall and the Local Council of Sector 1, we have managed to donate this land on which a kindergarten and a school will be built, which will benefit everyone living in the north, especially those in the vicinity of the Greenfield neighborhood. This is an important step for us, and we hope that the initiative will be appreciated and, why not, inspire others, because educational institutions closer to home contribute to a high standard of quality of life.”,declared Sorin Apostol, CEO of Impact Developer & Contractor.
Among the advantages brought by the two educational centers are: reduced travel time to school and kindergarten for nearby residents, reduced pollution, the possibility of extended sleep in the morning, and an added benefit for children, due to the clean air.
