Greenfield Sports Festival – Record Number of Participants
Back to blogThe third edition of Greenfield Sports Festival It was a real success, attracting a record number of participants. Over 1,950 people participated on the weekend of September 14-15 in one, two, three, or four sports events, enjoying outdoor activities.
The GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood hosted 674 runners, 433 cyclists, 108 orienteers, 160 families and 850 children. This year, a new event was introduced, sponsored by Wellness Club by Greenfield: the swimming event. 36 adult participants swam in the semi-Olympic pool at Wellness Club.
At an edition with a record number of participants, 150 people were awarded. Three individuals and two families achieved the multisport trophy through their own efforts, successfully completing all competition events.
The fastest participants were:
– Trail running - 5 KM – Banca Transilvania: Livezeanu Andrei, Ilie Cristina, and the Ciobanu Family
– Trail run - 11 KM – RCTI: Brănescu Adrian and Rășină Luisa
– Trail running – 13.1 miles – Greenfield Băneasa: Vrînceanu Florin and Dobre Lidia
– Mountain Bike – 15 KM – Doraly.ro: Chiriac Dumitru, Arghire Raluca and the Tănăsie Family
– Mountain Bike – 25 km – MediHelp: Prodan Cristian and Stan Miriam
– Mountain Bike – E-bike – Delaco: Ștefan Mădălin and Ionescu Aura
– Sports Orientation – Nestle: Georgescu Cosmin, Anghel Andra, and the Matei Family
– SwimmingVladescu Ionut Catalin and Preda Carmen
The Greenfield Sports Festival saw a huge turnout, featuring two days of competition with nine sports events, a presentation of Silviu Bălan's expedition to Gasherbrum II peak – 8,035 m, and many activities dedicated to children: face painting, balloons, braids, painting on 3D figurines, chalk drawings, a photo booth, mascots, prizes, surprises, and, not least, the main attraction of the Start – Finish area – the climbing wall.
The Greenfield Sports Festival is an event organized by Tabori and Running, Skiing, and MTB Circuits, and supported by Impact Developer & Contractor.
The organizers have already announced the date for the next edition, which will take place on September 13-14, 2025.
