Avenor College is a non-profit educational institution, a bilingual international school offering quality education for children aged 2 to 18. Through a student-centered approach, Avenor College builds relevant and stimulating learning experiences designed to develop the competencies needed for each child's future. At Avenor College, learning is a collaborative process in which students and teachers grow together. Here, children are encouraged to discover their passions, cultivate their talents, and map out their own educational paths, thus becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Through a personalized approach and a collaborative environment, Avenor creates learning contexts that transcend classroom boundaries and contribute to the development of a united, future-oriented community.

Avenor's identity is built around six fundamental values – Adventure, Vocation, Excellence, Nature, Opportunity, and Relationships – which guide both the educational process and the school's daily life. These values are deeply integrated into the curriculum, daily interactions, and organizational culture, providing students with solid benchmarks in their development as individuals and professionals.

Age groups and the educational program

On the Avenor campus in Greenfield, students have the opportunity to pursue a complete educational path from kindergarten (groups starting at age 3) through high school.

The Avenor Kindergarten and High School follow the British curriculum, while the primary school and middle school follow the Romanian curriculum, enriched with elements from the British curriculum.

The curriculum program runs from 08:30 to 15:00, followed by a club program until 16:00, with the option to extend until 17:00 for families who need to pick up children later. Meals are cooked daily in our own kitchen, and children eat in the two dedicated cafeterias.

Avenor - A Selective School

Currently, the school has just over 800 students and a team of over 170 employees. Many of the families in the Avenor community (students and teachers) live in Greenfield, with some of them moving into the neighborhood specifically for the school.

The admission process is selective, and children's testing is based on the educational cycle for which they are applying, with the evaluation content adapted to the targeted grade level. The selection includes several evaluation stages designed to also verify compatibility with the school's values and standards. Further details are available AICI.

Projects and activities for the Greenfield community

Avenor is an active part of the Greenfield community. It regularly organizes special events – such as Children's Day and clean-up activities in Băneasa Forest, to which it invites families from the neighborhood.

After 5:00 PM, the campus hosts classes and extracurricular activities accessible to children from the community, and the Avenor spaces have become a meeting point for events organized by residents' associations or the Greenfield Federation.

Additionally, Avenor provides support to homeowner associations for the maintenance of common areas, thereby directly contributing to the creation of a clean, safe, and harmonious environment for all community members.

In May 2025, the Avenor campus also served as a polling station.

A nationally and internationally accredited school

Accredited with „Very Good” by the Ministry of Education and „Outstanding” by British Schools Overseas, Avenor is an active member of international networks such as Common Ground Collaborative, COBIS, OECD Schools+ Network. Through innovative educational projects, mentorship programs, experiential learning, and internships, we prepare students not only for the world's best universities but also to actively contribute to society's development.
