Unlocking access to Greenfield via Vadul Moldovei Street

Back to blog

After almost a year and a half of restrictions, the residents of GREENFIELD Băneasa are receiving good news. On April 2nd, the General Council of Bucharest Municipality approved an essential draft resolution. This project requests the Romanian Government to permanently transfer the administration of two road sections from Romsilva's management to the Municipality, in order to reopen access to and from the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood via Vadul Moldovei street.

A Major Step Towards Reopening

This approval represents a critical step in the road reopening process, but it is not the only one. The acquisition of a forest section from Romsilva is still necessary, which requires payment of a fee for its removal from the forest fund.

The involvement of the Sector 1 City Hall

To finalize this process, the General Council of Bucharest Municipality has issued a decision mandating the Mayor of Sector 1 to manage this endeavor. The Local Council has already allocated the necessary funds for the payment of this fee, thus ensuring the financial resources needed for the process to continue without delays.

The Importance of Reopening Access

The reopening of access via Vadul Moldovei street is essential for the residents of the GREENFIELD Băneasa neighborhood. This will not only facilitate mobility and reduce travel time but also contribute to improving the quality of life in this area. Furthermore, the improved access will also stimulate local economic development, attracting potential investors and increasing property values in the area.

The decision of the General Council of Bucharest Municipality and the active involvement of the Sector 1 City Hall represent important steps for the GREENFIELD Băneasa community. Residents are eagerly awaiting the completion of this process and the reopening of the road, which will bring multiple benefits to the entire area. The successful continuation of this project will demonstrate the commitment of local authorities to improving infrastructure and responding to citizens' needs.
