Why did a young family choose to live in Greenfield Băneasa

Back to blog

„It wasn't just about the apartment, but about what our daily lives could look like”

Sometimes, the decision to move begins with a feeling.

For Adina, her first encounter with Greenfield Băneasa wasn't a viewing, but a simple visit to some friends in 2018. But it was enough to leave an impression on her.

„I didn't expect to like it so much. I felt like I had entered a small «exotic» neighborhood, like in an American movie: everything seemed quieter, more spacious, friendlier.”

He remembers the atmosphere very clearly: children selling lemonade in the park, families on bicycles, parents with their little ones, people walking dogs. A kind of energy that makes you feel good effortlessly.

The moment when the choice becomes clear

A few years later, in 2021, when she was pregnant, Adina and her husband started looking for a Apartment.

They analyzed several areas in Bucharest, but the comparison quickly became more than just about housing.

„I felt like we found exactly what we needed here: a clean place, with lots of green space, and a clear sense of community. It wasn't just about the apartment, but about what our everyday life could look like.”

What does a typical day look like

Today, their lives have a rhythm that suits them.

Mornings begin with the usual routine, followed by the workday — largely from home. From time to time, Adina makes time for the gym, something that has become easier thanks to Wellness zone in the neighborhood.

„My son also has some optional activities there, which makes our logistics much easier.”

For her, one of the biggest wins is balance:

„Life here is more «settled,» and I manage to find a balance between family and work.”

After work, things become simpler: a walk, the playgrounds, or on good days, a trip to the forest.

A neighborhood that grows with families

Another important aspect is the development of the area.

Approach to the future kindergarten and state school "this," says Adina, "is essential for young families in the neighborhood—especially in a community where children are already a constant presence.".

For someone passionate about travel, quick access to the airport also matters:

„It simplifies your logistics a lot — you leave more relaxed and get home faster.”

The community that makes a difference

Beyond the facilities, however, the real reason they chose to stay is another.

„What really convinced me was the community.”

After the child's birth, interactions with other parents became increasingly frequent. Over time, a close-knit group formed.

„Now we do playdates, we hang out together, and we even go on vacations together.”

It's the kind of connection that happens naturally when people share the same lifestyle.

„You see the same parents often, the children become friends, and slowly you end up with people you stop to chat with and make plans.”

Life with a child: more freedom, less stress

Quick access to green spaces completely changes the daily dynamic.

„It's very simple to go outside: we have parks and playgrounds just steps away, plus the forest nearby.”

Children meet, play, and make friends without needing constant organization.

Another important aspect is the feeling of safety:

„It's an area where, as they grow, children can go out and play on their own, and as a parent, you don't have the same tension.”

The forest as part of the routine

Closeness to nature is not just an advantage on paper—it has become part of their lives.

„After we moved here, my husband bought a bike and started going out often with the little one in the forest.”

For a child, every outing is a discovery: insects, leaves, new things.

For parents, it's a way to slow down the pace.

„It's quality time that takes us out of the hustle and bustle of ordinary days.”

Not just where you live, but how you live

Adina's story is not just about a move, but about choosing a lifestyle.

One in which the daily routine becomes simpler, community emerges naturally, and family time no longer needs to be „planned” so much—but rather comes on its own.
